Battlefield Bad Company 2 Tips
I love EA's Battlefield series. No other game series to date can match the experience they provide. With the Battlefield series there exists a healthy focus on squad-based tactics and support. In the spirit of that focus here are some gameplay tips for DICE's latest release, Bad Company 2.
Broken down by kit…
Assault:
- Blow out walls to expose covered enemies with your grenade launcher.
- Drop ammo kits early and often.
Engineer:
- In every helicopter crew one person should be an engineer, this is mainly so the pilot can land the chopper, out of harm's way, and do repairs. Then fly back into battle at 100%.
- The repair tool is a godsend for any tank driver, if a guy's in a blasting match with another tank, do the right thing and do repairs while he's in the heat of it, not after.
Medic:
- Revive and toss medkits early and often.
- When you revive someone make sure he, or she, is not in the path of enemy fire. If so, then do them a 'solid' and try jumping in between your revived teammate and the enemy, and provide some kind of covering fire so they can run away. Or so you can both get fragged together.
Recon:
- Spot, spot, spot.
- Don't try to kill every SOB that moves. That exposes your position to the enemy, and does away with any further spotting opportunities. Adding to that, if the guy isn't moving and you think you can get a one-shot, go for it.
